About Us

Reclaiming African Stories. Reviving African Voices. For too long, the voices shaping our children's literary education have not been our own. Generations of Nigerian students have studied and quoted Western authors — often at the expense of the rich, powerful literature created by African storytellers.

Who We Are

TCLH is a special-purpose initiative created to promote African literature and performance arts across Nigerian schools. Through curated books, engaging school clubs, and national competitions, we aim to reconnect students with the power of African storytelling — stories that reflect their realities, communities, heritage, and dreams.

Our Mission

To replace foreign-dominated literature studies with authentic African content, while empowering students with the tools to read, write, and perform confidently and creatively.

Our Core Goals

Promote African-authored literature in classrooms nationwide. Help students understand and appreciate African culture, syntax, and symbolism.

Build key literary skills:
🔹 Read-ability – reading with comprehension and critical thinking
🔹 Write-ability – creative and analytical writing rooted in African contexts
🔹 Present-ability – performance, expression, and public speaking through drama

Contact Us

At The Literary Cultural Hub, we are not just teaching literature — we are restoring identity, building confidence, and cultivating the next generation of African writers, performers, and leaders.
