The Cultural Literary Hub.

Reclaiming African Stories. Reviving African Voices. For too long, the voices shaping our children's literary education have not been our own. Generations of Nigerian students have studied and quoted Western authors — often at the expense of the rich, powerful literature created by African storytellers. At The Literary Cultural Hub (TCLH), we believe it’s time for a shift — a literary revolution rooted in African identity, language, culture, and creativity. We asked, “When do we stop being colonized?” Our answer: “When we begin to own our stories — and tell them in our own voices.”

These clubs will: Meet weekly to read, discuss, and perform African literature. Participate in state, regional, and national literary competitions. Use TCLH’s Books-in-Focus — selected titles by African authors — as core study and performance texts. Receive support, training, and materials from the TCLH National Team. Our Flagship Titles – Books-in-Focus (Pilot Program) The Good Friend - JSS 1 At Sea With You - JSS 2 The Broken Deal - JSS 3 The Noble Warrior - SS1–SS3 These books are designed to be engaging, culturally relevant, and performance-friendly, encouraging students to see themselves in the stories they read.

Awards & Recognition

  • We believe in celebrating excellence. Each year, proceeds from book sales will fund prestigious awards:
  • The Individual Merit Award – For top-performing literary students. Wole Soyinka Tribute Scholarship – For outstanding school drama teams.
